Dressing up in the heavy Portuguese red dress and marching in the Madeira Parade was rough when I was a child, but I always looked forward to getting back and having Malasada.  Being at the Pits with my dad was always my favorite place to be....So many memories.

There is so much really great food.  But if I had to choose, it would be the bolo.  It's THE best bread I have ever eaten & it reminds me of actually being in Madeira.  So glad that we have added this to the menu.  A very close second would be the milos fritos.  So delicious & also authentically Madeiran.  Thanks to all who work so hard (sweating & toiling) to make this great food.
