World's Largest Portuguese Feast - New Bedford Ma
I've been away since 1990 , I've had enough time to sort out over and over the reasons for such a long absence and have decided today to put it all in back of me and give it a go again. Especially since we are about to celebrate our 100th anniversary. What better time is it for the return, and my daughter who just loves the feast, said today, Dad I would like you to serve on the 100th anniversary so I have the memories to keep with me. Although the first meeting is Sunday evening 8:00pm, I will not be in attendance. I've recently had total replacement knee surgery and do not drive as of yet and continue under doctors care including therapy. Once my doctor releases me and allows me to move forward with rejoining the Feast of the Blessed Sacrament 100th anniversary committee I plan on doing my part.
I pleasantly had many friends during my stay last time 1978-1989 some of which have passed with sorrow, however many who are still involved. I look forward as the years have taken there toll to do the very best I can as I mission to once again take pride in my madeiran heritage .
