I grew up on Nash Road. The Feast was the highlight of the summer in this Portuguese community, where it seems everyone we knew would make the effort to be there so they could see everyone they knew. We would watch the parade on Sunday, see all the candidates running for election that year, eat espetada, cacoila, stewed favas, wonderful goat and rabbit dishes, linguica, and so much more.
