A MESSAGE FROM THE 2011 PRESIDENT OF THE

FEAST OF THE BLESSED SACRAMENT

As I write “Welcome to the 98^th Feast of the Blessed Sacrament”, I feel a renewed bond to my great grandfather, Manuel Coutinho, one of the original four founders of this great event.  There are now almost 100 years of tradition to be proud of and I look forward to sharing the 98^th Feast of the Blessed Sacrament with my committee, family, friends and community.

        When I was nominated and elected President of the 2012 edition of New Bedford’s signature summer event, my own heart filled with pride and humility. There is much work to be done leading up to the next Feast and our committees are already hard at work meeting frequently to lay out the plans to make sure we succeed in bringing you the finest Feast ever.

For our returning visitors to this site, get ready for some exciting additions and changes.  If you are new to the site, join as a ‘supporter’ and discover a wealth of insider information on the entertainment we have planned along with some “specials” designed just for our ‘supporters’.
