Don't Miss Family Activities!
- Senior Day - 12pm to 4pm (60 years of age and up)
- Kids Day - 12pm to 4pm (12 years old and under)
- Carnival - Open all four days during Feast
Feast organizers are continuing the tradition of welcoming both young and young-at-heart when Madeira Field is a little quiet, the music is a little softer and the crowds have not yet lined up at the many food baraccas (food stands).
From 12 Noon to 4:00 PM on Saturday, after the 5K Road Race, the Main Pavilion welcomes all seniors to enjoy a choice-of-menu dinner at a 50% discount! Menu choices include roast beef, chicken, fish, cacoila, and the somewhat more exotic roast goat or rabbit . . . traditional Portuguese favorites.
The buffet is arranged in a way that visitors are allowed to sample more than one entree with their ‘Caldo Verde’ (Portuguese green soup) and a “pop” (small) handmade bread. A coffee or soft drink is also included. Malassadas (sugared fried dough) dessert is extra and there may be a line . . . but the cost is low.
Kids Day Program
The Kid's Day program has grown over the years and this year is chock full of wonderful entertainment that will please the child in us all. Featuring both kid-themed activities such as face painting and more...
Not to forget the kids (12 and under), the Feast is welcoming them during the same hours with special entertainment and a 50% discount on hot dogs, hamburgers, and a soft drink.
These foods are available at a number of food stands as well as the far corner of the main Food Pavilion. Because the feast operates on a cashless basis, visitors are urged to figure out how many one dollar tickets might be necessary to buy some hot dogs, burgers and soda.
Carnival At The FEAST
Our amazing Carnival will open all four days of the Feast. Cushing Amusements is a family owned and operated traveling carnival. They are proud to assist you with your full-service fundraiser, school, community or corporate amusement needs. Family fun is their business.
